The Sherwood Story
Our History
About Sherwood Companies
Our story began in 1934 in Kansas in the midst of the great depression when the Sherwood brothers bought their first truck crane. Now, nearly 90 years later, we are a family of nine companies, serving clients all across the country. Sherwood’s leadership and growth is centered on our core values of: safety, integrity, teamwork, excellence, and results.
We specialize in problem solving, customer service, and the development of long-term relationships. The Sherwood family of companies has a proven track record of completing projects using traditional design-bid-build or design-build, EPC and other collaborative/alternative construction delivery methods.
We have a strong team of construction professionals and the capability to both manage and self-perform on small and large projects of various types across the Midwest, particularly in the Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado and Nebraska markets. We serve both public and private sectors by delivering critical civil infrastructure projects to our customers and the communities in which we work and live including, but not limited to, urban expressways, bridges, underground utilities, concrete structures, asphalt/concrete paving and water/wastewater treatment plants.
